Ashley Tison, the founder of OZPros, is an attorney. Visiting this site, attending a webinar, asking a question, or booking a call does not make Ashley or OZPros your attorney.
Unless you sign a separate written engagement that says otherwise, OZPros does not act as your attorney, and no attorney-client relationship is formed. Please do not send confidential information through our forms.

Figures such as over $1 billion in taxes deferred or reduced for clients and more than 1,000 Opportunity Zone entities set up describe our past work with clients. They are not a promise or prediction of your results.
Client stories and testimonials reflect individual experiences. Every situation is different, and your results will depend on your facts, your investment, and changes in the law.
The rules are changing
Opportunity Zone law is in transition. The permanent program known as OZ 2.0 starts January 1, 2027, and Treasury and the IRS are still issuing notices and proposed regulations.
We update our content as the rules change, and each answer shows when it was last reviewed. Even so, something you read here may be out of date by the time you read it. Check the current rules with your advisors before you act. You can read how we review content on our Editorial standards page.
Affiliates and referral relationships
Providence Corporate Services, LLC is an affiliate of OZPros. It provides registered agent services that are included in some of our packages.
OZPros and GiddyBrands are affiliated companies. GiddyBrands provides the brand, website, and marketing services described on this site. Those services are a separate engagement with GiddyBrands.
Some clients come to us through referral partners, such as CPAs, attorneys, and advisors. Some of these partners may be compensated for referrals. If a partner referred you, you can ask us or them about any compensation.
Our map, calculators, and estimates
The OZ map, our calculators, and any tax estimates are educational tools. They give estimates based on the information you enter and on public data. They are not a tax calculation for your return.
Map data comes from Treasury, the Census Bureau, and state filings, and it can change as states nominate tracts and Treasury certifies them. Address lookups can place a property in the wrong tract. Confirm any property's status with official sources before you invest.
